Most people do not realise or believe they have their very own guardian angel that has been with them since the day they were born and will remain by their side throughout this lifetime and beyond. Your guardian angel’s sole purpose and reason for being is to love you unconditionally and guide you to experience love and joy in your life and reach your full potential. Often in life we can feel abandoned, lonely, and that nobody understands what we are going through. Your guardian angel knows you better than you know yourself and is available 24/7 for support. What do they look like and what if I cannot see my guardian angel?

I have read accounts of people blessed enough to see angels, and it sounds wonderful, but not being able to see an angel is the experience for most people including myself, but I do hear and feel my guardian angel. I have always found it difficult to lower my barriers and allow love in and even to love myself, so the fact that I had to become open and vulnerable to trusting what I was feeling rather than seeing has enabled me to grow a wonderful bond of love with my guardian angel. I now realise that this was the lesson I had to learn. When I started on this journey, I had low self-belief and was very self-critical, resulting in disappointment when I couldn’t see my guardian angel. It was not helping me to connect and keep the faith that angels existed at all!

As informative and inspirational as they were, I decided to step back from the masses of online information and books about angels and find my own simple but effective way to connect, that I hope will help you too. I have read and heard many accounts of what an angel looks like, and I believe these are all true because my angel has told me that they appear and communicate with people in a way that best suits the relationship and the situation. I will expand this in more detail as you move through the book, but briefly this would include a differing frequency of sounds, music, lights, feathers, flashes of light to full figures with recognisable angelic features and more.

They can also be either masculine or feminine in energy. This all depends on the type of connection you have and what your angel needs to assist you with. Angels do not have a gender in the way we understand it as humans. Angels and humans alike all possess masculine and feminine energy within us regardless of biological sex. We lean into our feminine energy when we use our creativity and intuition and the more nurturing energies and our masculine when we assert ourselves and take decisive steps towards our goals. My only experience of seeing an angel was at a time when I was experiencing loss after my mother passed away.

I remember waking up in the night to see a wave of golden lights like glitter dust reaching out to me from the other side of my bed. I had no knowledge of the existence of angels at the time; I was so scared that I turned over and squeezed my eyes shut. I now know this was an angel sending healing to me, but at that time I was not ready to see. That was 13 years ago, and they appeared again in that way. I sometimes wish I could go back and appreciate the beauty of that moment, but I will never forget the sparkling golden swirls of light that are forever imprinted in my memory.

On reflection it had to be this way so that I could help all the people that doubt the existence of angels because they cannot see them. I am here to tell you that the bond of love between my guardian angel and me is very real and very strong. I cannot see her, but she can see me, and that’s good enough. This Is what I am meant to share with you. Taking a leap of faith and trusting what you cannot see will change your life. Feeling really is believing!

How did you get your guardian angel?

A guardian angel is a being created of pure love, that is only capable of loving you. Similarly, before you came to earth you were also created out of love with the sole purpose of expressing love to one another. For this reason, your soul and guardian angel were drawn to each other before you were born. The decision on how you are matched with your guardian angel is based upon the compatibility in the frequency between you. For your guardian angel to provide the best support and guidance, there must be a knowing and complete understanding of your essence like twins or best friends do. The energy I feel from my angel is very feminine, nurturing but also childlike, very much like my own. Once this connection is made, it can never be broken. Throughout all your lifetimes your guardian angel is literally stuck to you like glue, and there is nothing you can do that will ever change this. You may hear some people say that God matches you to your angel and this is also true because angels are an extension of God (as are we) therefore God is working though them all the time so when a match is made it is you, your angel and God working as one. There is no need for words and discussion; this is all done on an energetic level. You are matching the frequencies of love between you.

What does it feel like when you bond with your Guardian Angel?

If you can drop your shields and allow the full force of your angels’ love to come through, it really feels like falling in love. It is not like romantic love, but you can feel butterflies in your stomach and fluctuate between peace, contentment and giddiness through the joy of your connection. What you are really doing is remembering the close bond you formed before you came to earth. It is rekindling and a reunion. You have always loved each other.
